Staying “aflote” Through Creative Social Posts
When you take a boat out on the water, there are many unknowns. Our client, aflote, wanted to remove some of the major frustrations through a social mobile application for all water-lovers. Our team was hired to bring awareness of the application to key potential app users through organic Facebook content. With only two months of content, we were able to significantly grow the Facebook reach and attract the attention of the desired audience in preparation for the release of the application. Our work brought a clear voice to the brand and strengthened connections with business partners industry-wide.
We began with industry research to identify our target audience on Facebook and strategic messaging to best appeal to this audience. Then, we created attractive targeted content to grow interest from men and women, between 30-50 years old, interested in paddle sports, sailing, and the luxury boating lifestyle.
Our targeted content, with just 22 posts for Facebook, reached over 27k people, increased over 750 page likes, and over 1k page visits – far exceeding industry standards. We also promoted key partners in the content throughout the project to strengthen the relationships with cross-promotion.
The app, aflote, was able to reach its desired audience by targeted location with over 15% of its audience in Nassau, Bahamas.
Overall the client was thrilled with the new brand awareness amongst its top audience. Direct feedback at events from the app’s creator resulted in additional funding and the success of the aflote.
